XYLD had one of the biggest payouts in the history of the fund: $1.18. There was a payout of $1.43 in December of 2017, but that was before I was in the fund. Having XDTE also helped push the income to a record for January. I am thinking about getting rid of XDTE. It has been said that stocks take the stairs up and the elevator down, and that is especially true for covered call funds.
